Figure out who you are being fed by - don't put your collaborators into the middle of a socio-political context that they otherwise wouldn't know anything about had it not been for inappropriate workplace communication. Be clear as to how you feed your information from your line management and auditors to the artists you employ or serve. Serve in a principle sense, you serve the industry that should allow them to flourish and develop as opposed to fostering an environment of hostility that hinders creation of new ideas and the founding of relationships.
Is there a difference between values and interests? Social, political and economical interests trump that of specific individuals values. Is that always the case?
What do you value? Collective values and interests. How do we align our interests? Can we align our values?
In this industry we often use aesthetic reasons to stop change - for example led lights in theatres. Disabled bodies. Different races. What 'authenticity' does to create barriers to change? Authenticity often translates to the way something has always been done and right now that is not good enough when we are harming the development of arts.
