After Words is an interrogation of online technologies as part of a modern day grieving process. Through text, live performance and multimedia, we explore how social media might aid or hinder our quality of communication with others. We live in 'the online'. We create profiles. We document our lives on a public platform. Who are we doing this for? How does our relationship to others continue to exist after we are no longer here?
After Words is the first work of emerging arts collective Turnt - a group led by director Rosa Duncan and myself. Collaborating with Jenny Knotts (Writer), Felix Green (Motion Graphics Designer) and David Kirkwood, Naomi Stirrat and Kirsty Punton (Actors) to create the work, we have presented a work in progress at the Edinburgh International Science Festival Science in the Spotlight scratch night in September 2016.
